Mission

Mission

The Steering Committee is composed of one national representative (the "National Representative") for each Member Country.
The Steering Committee is responsible for the development and issuing of technical rules and recommendations. This implies that activities of the Steering Committee, as the executive directing body of the Association, include among others:

• the establishment and supervision of the Working Groups, including the designation of their convenors and members, the approval of their terms of reference, the follow-up of their activities, the decision-making related to the work products delivered, and their dissolution;
• the decisions on the issuing of technical rules and recommendations, their amendments, adaptations and the follow-up of their compliance;
• "the decisions concerning the development of the UCTE Synchronous Area and its relations with adjacent systems, according to Articles 32 and 33 of the Internal Regulations;
• the preparation of reports, resolutions and other documents for the Assembly;
• the approval of publications and statistics;
• in general, the decision making on any activity relating to the purposes of UCTE which does not fall under the competence of the Assembly.
